SMS / Text Messaging Consent and Data

This section governs Mobile Opt-In Data and controls over any conflicting provision elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.

SMS consent is not shared with third parties.

Specifically:

  • Mobile Opt-In Data is not sold, rented, leased, traded, or otherwise disclosed to any third party or affiliate for that party's own purposes.
  • Mobile Opt-In Data is not "shared" for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and is not disclosed to advertising networks, remarketing platforms, data brokers, or list brokers.
  • Mobile Opt-In Data is not used for automated profiling, audience segmentation, lookalike modeling, or targeted advertising.
  • Mobile Opt-In Data is used only to send the categories of messages described in the RSI Security SMS Terms of Service, and to maintain records of consent and opt-out as required by law and carrier rules.
  • The only third parties with access to Mobile Opt-In Data are the messaging platform providers and telecommunications carriers strictly necessary to transmit the messages you requested. These providers act as service providers or processors under written contract, are prohibited from using the data for their own purposes, and are prohibited from further disclosing it.
  • Where disclosure is compelled by law, subpoena, court order, or lawful government request, we will disclose only what is legally required.

Your Choices

  • Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchase, service, or engagement with RSI Security.
  • You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us.
  • You may reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at privacy@rsisecurity.com.
  • Following opt-out, we retain a minimal record of your number and opt-out status for the sole purpose of honoring your request and demonstrating compliance. This record is not used to message or market to you.

Automated Processing and Profiling

We may use marketing automation and analytics tools to:

This profiling does not produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. Mobile Opt-In Data is excluded from all automated processing and profiling described in this section.

Data Retention

We retain personal information based on category and purpose:

  • Marketing inquiries: Up to 24 months from last interaction
  • Mobile Opt-In Data: Until you opt out; the opt-out record is retained thereafter solely to honor your request and evidence compliance
  • Client contractual data: Per contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Website analytics data: Per tool-specific retention settings
  • Security logs: Based on operational and compliance needs

We retain data longer if required by law or to resolve disputes.

Program Description

By opting in to text messaging from a web form, verbal request, written request, or other medium, you agree to receive SMS and MMS messages from RSI Security at the mobile number you provided.

Message categories you may receive include:

  • Consultation and assessment appointment reminders and scheduling confirmations
  • Account, project, and engagement status notifications
  • Conversational messages with your RSI Security point of contact
  • Customer care and support responses

Required Disclosures

  • Message frequency may vary.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or service.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to Opt Out

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message from us. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages thereafter. You may also email privacy@rsisecurity.com to be removed.
